BAYANIHAN IN ACTION Supporting Lapu Lapu Event Survivor
After spending several days in the ICU and High Acuity, Jose is now on the road to recovery. He has shown encouraging progress—he is awake, able to eat, and has begun physiotherapy. However, his healing journey will be long and challenging, requiring continued hospitalization, rehabilitation, and long-term care. Due to the extent of his injuries, he will no longer be able to return to work, placing a significant financial strain on his family.
In the spirit of bayanihan, we are deeply grateful for the generous financial assistance extended by the Filipino community in Hay River, Northwest Territories. Through One Filcoop, members of the Board personally visited Jose to deliver the financial aid, offering not only financial relief but also heartfelt support and encouragement during this difficult time.
This act of compassion reflects the strength and unity of our community. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who continues to support Jose and his family through prayers, generosity, and kindness.
